They govern your use of Netstate and any related websites, products and services, and define the rights and responsibilities of both you and Netstate. By accessing the service you agree to these Terms. If you use Netstate on behalf of an organization or other legal entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

What may I use Netstate for?
Netstate provides access to public-records data for research, journalism, compliance and business due diligence. You may not use Netstate data for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act — including decisions about a consumer’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing. Netstate is not a consumer reporting agency.
You also agree not to use the service for unlawful harassment, to re-identify individuals to cause harm, or to scrape or resell the database in bulk without a written data agreement. Programmatic access is available through the Netstate API.
How accurate is the data?
Netstate republishes records from third-party government sources and links them through entity resolution. We work to keep data accurate and current and document our process in the methodology, but the data is provided “as is.” Absence of a record does not prove a fact does not exist. Always verify material facts against the original source before relying on them. Found a problem? Request a correction.
Limitation of liability & governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Netstate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on the data. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and any dispute resolution proceeds there.
