The companies API

A small, boring surface: a company search API, a people search, plus fetch and browse. Search by company name to verify an entity, review officers and ownership links, check status, and support your own due diligence with official registry and federal-source data — useful for compliance, underwriting and risk teams. Every response is structured JSON that mirrors the public company profiles one-to-one, so any company details you verify in the UI you can fetch by ID or registration number. What the company information API returns

One database of 128 million companies across every US state, DC, Puerto Rico and Canada, drawn from 61 source registers — structured business data that supports KYB and onboarding by surfacing the company facts used to verify a business identity. Each record carries company details — legal name and any prior names, legal status, registration number, jurisdiction, industry codes, registered agent and address — cited to its public source. Officer and ownership links, UCC positions and litigation history are exposed on the same profiles the search API returns, so your own risk review can flag legal issues during onboarding.

Built on public sources

Every field traces to an official registry or federal dataset — no scraped or invented company information — and is refreshed on each register’s own cadence, not in real time. Netstate is a business verification platform over the public record, built for research and due diligence, not a consumer reporting agency; your systems fetch the data, your people review it.
