01 What is Netstate
Netstate, Inc. operates a search engine over United States public records. Every entity on the platform is built from primary government sources — Secretary-of-State business registries, federal regulators, courts and agency datasets — and joined into one canonical profile through entity resolution.
A profile carries what the public record holds: legal name and status, registration numbers, industry (NAICS) codes, registered agents and addresses, officers and directors, UCC positions and liens, litigation history, SBA loans, and officer-to-entity links. Each field is drawn from public filings, never a contact database we assembled ourselves.
We do not author, edit or opine on the underlying records. Our job is narrower and verifiable: collect filings from their issuing authorities, normalize them, link the ones that belong to the same legal entity, and show you exactly where each fact came from. Every data point carries the source dataset, the agency that maintains it, and the date we last retrieved it — refreshed on each register’s own cadence.

05 Who is accountable for accuracy
Netstate has no “editorial” opinion to defend — we publish what the source record says. But someone is still accountable for whether we collected it correctly, matched it to the right entity and refreshed it on time.
The data team owns source accuracy — ingestion, refresh cadence and the per-field provenance you see on every profile. Corrections, removal and permissible use are handled under our compliance review. Disputed records are re-verified against the issuing agency before any change is published, and the change is recorded in the entity’s history.
04 How we operate
Four commitments govern how data moves through Netstate. They are the standard we hold ourselves to and the standard you can hold us to.
Primary sources only
We ingest records from the agency that issues them — never resold or scraped second-hand aggregations. Each profile names the originating authority.
Show the provenance
Every field carries its source dataset and retrieval date. Nothing on a profile is an unattributed assertion by Netstate.
Correct it fast
When an underlying record changes or a subject disputes a match, we re-verify against the source and update or remove within a published window.
Not a credit bureau
Netstate is not a consumer reporting agency. Our data is for research and due diligence, not FCRA-regulated eligibility decisions.
