Netstate resolves each company to its Secretary of State record and corroborates it with the UCC liens, licenses and federal filings recorded against it, screens the name against OpenSanctions and PEP lists, and cites every field to the office that issued it — the KYB and due-diligence surface a compliance or onboarding team needs.
Where they differ is access and how you buy. Netstate's search and company profiles are open in the browser before you create an account, the read API needs no key, and both plans are self-serve at published prices — so you can verify the actual companies you deal with before paying anything. As with Middesk, the record is for a person to review and decide on; Netstate is not a consumer reporting agency and makes no automated eligibility decisions.
